5 Card Poker Rules
The game of 5 Card Draw consists of 2 main betting rounds. The designated dealer gives each player 5 cards facedown. Once a player checks their hand, the first round of betting begins around the table. After the betting is completed, each player may discard and receive new cards. Usually the betting doubles after the draw, after each player has had the opportunity to bet, raise or fold their cards the players still in the hand must reveal their best hand using all five cards. The best hand wins the pot.A maximum of one bet and four raises are allowed per round in multi-handed Draw Poker.
Check raising is allowed before and after the draw.
The number of cards allowed in a draw is typically decided by the house, although not normally more than 4 cards are allowed in any given round. During a draw, any exposed card can not be accepted whether it benefits its recipient or not. The player must replace the exposed card with another from the deck.
