WSOP Full Event Schedule
Last year the WSOP in Las Vegas boasted a whopping 54,000 entrants, this is a testament to the growth of texas holdem particularly due to its popularity online.
Winner Jerry Yang took home a prize of more than 8 million dollars. A native o Laos, Yang who is 39 years old and married with 6 children.
This year's 2008 WSOP at Harrah's hopes to improve on some of the shortcomings of last years tournaments. An increase in floor space for the tournaments, uneven starting days and questionable decisions will be look at this year. Last year several of the professional poker players almost staged a boycott because of the poor conditions.
